Summary; YOU always wondered about the cute stranger that would arrive to your work almost every day, yet he never caught you staring or admiring him from afar… until one day it changes.
Today was another working day at the coffee shop. you loved working there, the sweet smell of coffee aroma, the beautifully relaxing atmosphere and not to mention the really nice people that visited for their favorite beverages. but today you just weren’t feeling up to it, you sighed at the though of work itself today but you weren’t exactly bothered as you knew you’d be seeing that cute stranger again. He orders the same thing every. singe. time. i mean does he not get sick of it? its always and probably will always be a ‘regular Caramel machiatto to sit in.’
The handsome stranger had his own little sport beside the window overlooking the city, he was either watching the world go by, reading or writing. he was the most beautiful boy you had ever laid eyes on.
Your arrived to work after procrastinating, an hour went by quicker than expected.
Your attention was caught whenever the coffee shop door opened, the bell on top of the door dinged to signal someone had walked in, you glanced over to only see him, the beautiful stranger. he made your heart pound a millions times over, your palms always got sweaty in his presence. why?? who is he?? why do i feel like this?
he was tall, lean and muscular, perfect fixed hair and tanned skin. he walked in with a black beanie, round geeky glasses, a cosy scarf and a long trench coat to match his little winter boots, he was covered in snow he looked cold but ohmygod he was adorable, like a puppy. he started fluffing his hair up to get rid of the melted snow flakes that and in his bangs, scuffing his boots against the mat to get off the access snow. you never let go of your glance that was placed upon him until he starting walking over to the checkout looking down on his phone.
When he walked over to you, yous were both facing each other, he was looking at the menu fixing his glasses upon the bridge of his nose, he done this every time although he seemed to order the same thing over and over again, it made you blush…cute. he looked at you and smiled noticing your name tag that spelled your name. “Hello y/n! a regular hot chocolate to sit in please?” he smiled handing you the money , still wearing his little mittens that were damp from all the snow. “that’s a change” you said playfully chuckling smiling. “Yeah..” he smirked letting out a soft laugh smiling your direction, staring at you making his beverage. here you go, enjoy!” you handed him the cup full of marshmallows and whipped cream. “thank you y/n” he smiled at you, making his way over to his little spot beside the window.
The shop was pretty empty, you didn’t have much to do so you were aloud a lunch break, you sat down in your spot across from his. you had green tea and a book you were overlay obsessed with. you kept staring and staring at him, you got a little carried away and didn’t realise that the pretty stranger was also staring back your direction… you looked away as quick as you could! heart pounding, gripping your little tea cup so hard biting down on your cheek trying not to smile. he was still staring when you lifted your head trying to catch another glance at him he was such an angel you couldn’t help it. you instantly covered your red face with the book your were meant to be reading put instead you were using the book to cover your embarrassed face and smile.
A sound of a chair caught your attention as it was dragging across the floor, you realized his spot was empty although his books and hot chocolate was still there. “what..?” you thought into yourself, you felt a light tap on your shoulder that sent shivers down your spine, you froze.
“um hey miss i was just wondering when yous will be closing?” he asked you staring you up and down like an innocent puppy, twiddling his fingers. it was him! why did he ask? he knew? he always came here ? you were really confused. “oh hi..we will be closing at 9pm!” you smiled at him like a little mouse. “oh good! t-thank you, and oh i’m seokjin by the way!” he chucked softly holding out his hand out gesturing you to shake it. “nice to meet you seokjin im y/n” you smiled shaking his soft palms, you got a tornado of butterfly inside your stomach you waited for this day to come and finally it came. he was beautiful? is he real? i mean look at him i bet girls are crazy for this kid.
he took a seat in front of you, yous talked a lot about your hobby and interests which leaded to having a lot of things in common. yous talked about books, authors and most importantly music genres and your opinions on certain things. he seemed to talk about food A Lot It was crazy how much he loved food but it was outstandingly adorable, you were so overwhelmed by his kind and caring nature.
your short but long lunch break came to a finish. “hey seokjin im sorry but i have to get back to work, i loved chatting with you!” you smiled getting up of your chair ‘y/n!wait!’ his voice cracked a bit as he protested. “mmhhmm?” you smiled at his direction. “uh..w-would you like to get coffee sometime? i mean you don’t have to but i would lo to chat with you again…oh and it would be my treat o_of course” he stood up blushing, holding the nape of his neck smiling down at you because you were a midget compared to this guy. he was gazing into your eyes. “w-why of course seokjin i would love that. when?” you couldn’t eli hewas asking you to go get coffee with him you were internally screaming. “tomorrow, 4pm outside of Starbucks? not here i mean because you work here” he chuckled. “its my treat! i always see you in here you work really hard and you are a nice girl, and not to mention either… you are very beautiful.”he got embarrassed and looking away for a second you were overwhelmed did he just say that to me?? how can this be? this is the best day ever. he smiled with his little red lips and gerbil cheeks waiting for a response.
AHHHH YIU WERE INTERNALLY SCREAMING.
“W-Wow thank you seokjin that’s so thoughtful of you! i’m really looking forward to it!” you smiled and stared at him as he got up to face you “beautiful?” you thought into yourself. he was just inches away, your palms were over heating. “here is my number y/n” he was so close, he said this with the softest and caring voice you could ever imagine. “oh and call me jin” he winked.
“Thank you jin!” You smiled like a goof “ so i-i guess il see you tomorrow at 4pm?” you were waking him to the door of the coffee shop, opening it for him. the bell dinged. “of course you will y/n, oh and wrap up warm tomorrow, it will be cold” he said putting on his Little woolly hat, leaving the shop smiling at you. you chucked “i sure will, thank you for everything jin ill see you tomorrow at 4!” you waved softly “you sure will beautiful! thanks for the hot chocolate, and my extra marshmallows” he winked. he was out of the door, the door shut and the Little bell dinged you were the happiest girl ever right now. the fat he noticed you gave him extra marshmallows made you so very happy.
you felt as if this was a dream you can wake up out of, you couldn’t get over the reality that just happened.
an our went by, it was home time. you got he bus home and finally arrived to your apartment. you turnt your phone on straight away, it buzzed within seconds.
you received a message. “hey y/n its jin!”
“hello jin, did you get home okay?” you replied.
“of course, i cant wait for tomorrow. its going to be a good day..thank you for accepting my date. he responded
“oh so its a date! ahah!” you replied
“well yeah, couldnt resist a pretty face, good night y/n see you tomorrow. sleep well.:)”
“aw.. thank you,good night jin.”
“good night y/n”
tomorrow was going to be a good day and more life changing than you had ever expected.
